Sandpoint Country Club - Olander Garden Design Olander Garden Design is pleased to present a greatly anticipated landscape improvement at Sandpoint Country Club, a premier venue, in the heart of the Seattle area. This was a complete landscape renovation, both aesthetically and functionally, that capitalized on the unique beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Our team was tasked with designing a more usable outdoor setting for the club, while addressing erosion issues and a lack of harmonic cohesion in the landscape. We started with a detailed site analysis to pinpoint areas that would help organize the space while maintaining architectural style. The completed design is filled with a tremendous selection of native planting that not only thrives in the environment but encourages diversity. We integrated diverse seasonal flowers, evergreen shrubs, and ornamental grasses to ensure something visually interesting throughout the year. We dealt with the erosion issues by building thoughtfully-placed stone retaining walls out of locally sourced basalt to help define the landscape and provide structural stability. We constructed a comfortable outdoor lounge area with durable furniture for the elements, and a beautiful fire pit to accommodate evening gatherings. We even used permeable pavers to create a modern pathway, while still promoting drainage in the landscape. Our standard for quality craftsmanship is well represented in this . The finished product updated the Sandpoint Country Club's outdoor setting, and improved outdoor space for members and guests. The client was thrilled with our work and our service.
