Before and After: Jessie by Coastal Concepts: A Coastal Retreat Location: Spring Lake Heights, NJ Client: Private Residence Coastal Concepts is proud to present Jessie, a beautiful backyard landscaping that has transformed outdoor living for one of our great clients located in the scenic Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey. Prioritising quality with attention to detail, we created a peaceful landscape that integrates into the coastal setting and complements the natural features of its surrounds. An intensive site analysis kicked off the and confirmed the need for a comprehensive plan that solved drainage problems and added visual interest. Collaborating with the client, we created an elaborate plan involving a bespoke stone path installation, vivid flower beds, and a serene water feature, creating an entrancing yet functional outdoor area rich with features. We chose durable materials, such as river stones in getting the pathway that blended naturally and seamlessly into the environment while providing a solid walking space and sourced the stone locally and thus ensuring long-life & wear. We included native plants, such as beach grasses and bright perennials, which foster biodiversity and are low maintenance. The garden was beautifully planted and highlighted with an ornamental fountain to add peacefulness and motion. The experienced a number of big challenges, one of which was the undulating ground and historic drainage issues. With careful planning, our team came up with a new grading solution that shifted the water so it flows in a different direction, lessening the chances of flooding and keeping the land green and healthy all year long. True to its word, the transformation proved to be truly staggering upon completion. An inviting space for family and kids to gather, the once neglected yard now has cozy seating areas amidst blooming flowers. The client described their overall experience as "perfectly delight" and noted how well Coastal Concepts managed the transition between functionality and splendor.
