Backyard Haven by Avant Gardening & Landscaping Inc. Backyard Haven in Madison by Avant Gardening & Landscaping Inc. This was much a labour of love, writing a design that offers a moment to escape from the everyday and the ideal blend of form and function. The started with an extensive consultation where we learned what the client can dream of for outdoor space. As such, the main struggle was balancing the varied topography and creating a surface that would provide a pleasing appearance and limit maintenance requirements. Our experienced crew used high quality materials: natural stone pavers, mulch that comes from sustainable sources, and local plants that survive in the environment. Where 'Backyard Haven' stands out is its custom-designed patio made of durable flagstone with a beautiful, functional appeal. This area functions as an inviting space for family gatherings and or evenings under the stars. We surrounded the patio with colorful perennial gardens of native wildflowers and ornamental grasses that provide resources to our local pollinators. As a solution to the drainage issue, we introduced an alluring rain garden that retains runoff and augments conservation of water. This sustainable solution adds functionality to the landscape and proudly affirms our philosophy of sustainable practice. When it all comes together the final product is an arresting oasis of tranquility and class. The finishing touch for the clients who were so pleased with their own little outdoor sanctuary to relax in and entertain.
