Modern Fenced Entrance by Gravel and Green Located in the lively community of Santa Monica, the 'Modern Fenced Entrance' captures the ideal blend of modern design and practical landscaping. Gravel and Green was given the task of creating an appealing entrance that not only added curb appeal but also provided privacy and security to our educated client. The uses a striking treatment of vertical wood slats and metal fins carefully spliced together to create a bold modern fence that appropriately complements the architectural style of the home. The natural weathered wood provides structural stability, but also a warm, inviting feel as the wood is sustainably sourced from cedar. Additionally, the team set forth to create an entryway with a modern treatment of permeable pavers that both drains well and reduces water runoff, while maintaining a clean and modern appearance. One of the major obstacles that the team needed to overcome was the uneven ground surrounding the entrance. The experts at Gravel and Green graded and leveled the landing to lay a solid foundation for the fence and pavers.
