Our entry steps were custom designed by our team as well, made from hard wearing locally sourced s na dstone that we recommended for its rich texture and color differences. Not only is this a long-lasting option, it is also a sustainable choice that blends seamlessly with the Brainerd Lakes region landscape. We added a non-slip finish to the gracefully curved risers to ensure these stairs help you and your guests feel safe and welcome as they come and go in the family home with assorted foot traffic. The pitched site was one of the more singular challenges in the , needing inventive engineering solutions that provided stability at the foundations but permissions on the physical flow. The steps were built and supported by a retaining wall constructed of natural stone to create a cohesive landscape design by our landscape architects. This, in turn, solved the issue with having some elevation but also added some rustic flare that just blended with the home architecture. To finish the entry, we chose bold perennial flowers and also dynamic, low-maintenance shrubs that add season-long visual interest on each side of the steps. The ultimate output is a balanced combination of natural materials creating a warm and overshadowed ambience that complements the client style and increases property value. Homespun collage were so pleased with the transformation that they've now had a massive impact on the way the home owner uses that outdoor space with the entry steps becoming a highly coveted focal point.
