Downtown Bremerton Brookside Landscape and Design is pleased to present the Downtown Bremerton . The improved landscaping greatly changed the urban landscape of this active waterfront city. Our landscape architect set out to design a welcoming green space for residents and visitors alike that complemented the surroundings, increased the area's aesthetics, and created space for people to enjoy nature in an impedance and multi-functional way. The included a comprehensive plan that included good design solutions for the architecture of the area and operated under a native plant palette to increase the area's biodiversity. The new features included quality hardscape materials such as permeable pavers for the walkways to support proper drainage of stormwater runoff and provide protection from erosion, facilitating a long-lasting sustainable landscape. Planted seating areas with stone seating permitted gathering spaces shaded beneath flowering shrubs and ornamental grasses, and offered peaceful refuge. One of the main proposals came from the site itself, which had an extreme variation in existing topography. This alone called for site grading and soil stabilization. After a construction and design team was assembled featuring qualified support from landscape architects and horticulturists, a complete solution was developed. The constructed vegetation supported terraced planting beds, responsible for the designed orientation and visual appeal, but also offered an elegant landscape practice to stabilizing the stormwater runoff from rainfall. The end result of the assignment gave a beautiful place for the client and community. With an assortment of flower color, evergreen features and seasonal blooms present year-round, and outdoor path lighting promoting public safety, and beautified the sustainable landscape, and , made this a memorable delight for residents and visitors alike. This revitalization not only enhanced the aesthetics of the landscape but revived a local sense of receipt for the space, for those who reside or visit as well.
