About This Project

Tracyton Beach A Landscape Envisioned by Brookside Landscape and Design Located on the peaceful shores of Tracyton, the Tracyton Beach reflects Brookside Landscape and Design's excellence and creativity in landscaping. The goal was to highlight the natural beauty of the waterfront while creating a usable and beautiful outdoor space for the homeowners. We designed a multi-layered garden that integrates nicely with the coastal environment using native plants that are already adapted to the weather and climate of Kitsap Peninsula. We used sustainable items with locally sourced stone for the retaining walls and pathways, and we found a way to balance functionality and beauty. By using permeable pavers on the paths we were able to allow for a way for the water to drain effectively, and help establish worthy resistance against the coastal weather. One of the biggest challenges of the site was the steep slope on the property. Our landscape architects and crew developed a series of terraces that provided stability, and also created distinct planting areas all while maximizing the space and covering a selection of planting that attracts local wildlife, and minimizes maintenance. The end result is a coastal retreat with a collection of flowering shrubs, and ornamental grasses, and also includes a custom fire pit area that would encourage family gatherings, and relaxation. At the end of the yard is a large yard space that would be suitable for outdoor activities, which is plant and shrub bordered to provide privacy to the space and enhance the property. The homeowners are pleased with the results and can now enjoy an outdoor space, naturally integrated with the landscape, that expresses their love for nature, and entertaining the family. The Tracyton Beach is a great example of how our team creates outdoor spaces and also demonstrates our expert craftsmanship and commitment to creating outdoor spaces that add value to their lives.
