Landscape Design Element DC Ranch Arcadia II by Merit Landworks Merit Landworks recently completed the DC Ranch Arcadia II , located in the heart of Scottsdale and exemplifying our artistry and craftsmanship. In this extensive landscaping transformation, native plantings, refined hardscapes, and thoughtful outdoor living spaces are combined each customized to fulfill the vision of our client. One of the first challenges we had was the merging between the current desert environment and contemporary architecture. Choosing plants that would thrive in our local climate our team chose drought-tolerant plants that need little to no water once established, including agave, desert marigolds, and palo verde trees ensures year-round beauty. To match all the natural elements around us, we added beautiful flagstone pathways and a custom natural stone fire pit so that friends would have a place to gather together. One of the more unique features in this is a large outdoor kitchen area, which was built for functional use and entertaining. Built from top quality materials, the outdoor kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless-steel appliances providing the perfect nexus of form and function for enjoying outside dining. A highly developed irrigation setup was required to keep the landscape under strict water conservation protocols. To make it more sustainable in that no plant gets hydrated more than it needs, we implemented smart technology. Not only did the end result exceed the clients expectations, the design also brought to life the curb appeal within the DC Ranch community. This transformation has culminated in a tranquil retreat that features the beauty of the desert while delivering an outdoor living experience with five-star luxury amenities. The client expressed their satisfaction of their new landscape that speaks volumes of the quality and effort that Merit Landworks gives to every s. It is a that shines a spotlight on our attention to detail that will serve as a beacon for other s to come in Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Carefree, and Sedona.
