Quirky Queen Anne Garden by Cambium Inc. Nestled in the heart of Seattle’s historic Queen Anne neighborhood, Cambium Inc. has created the Quirky Queen Anne Garden , which embodies the perfect blending of artistic creativity with nature. Our team took a small backyard property and produced a vivacious oasis reflecting the eccentricity of the Queen Anne district with colorful combinations of landscaped highlights. This property boasts a phenomenal planting of native plants carefully chosen for their endurance and their beauty in the seasons. The plan highlights meandering paths in locally sourced flagstone, around clusters of colorful perennials and ornamental grasses, rendering an attractive flow that invites exploration and movement. A rustic cedar pergola constructed with some loving care stands out in the plan, to which are attached various climbing vines and outdoor string lights, conducive to evening festivals. Challenging aspects of the property’s layout were the sloping conditions of the site requiring inventive drain solutions guarded against erosion but representing the look of a garden. Several strategically placed retaining walls of reclaimed bricks were added to protect and stabilize the beauties of the garden while reflecting its historic vintage charm. The result was a lovely planned combination of usefulness contributing a great visual deal toward fulfilment of our client’s expectations. The inspires property value and surround a private retreat for the homeowner as well as gives festivity space for entertaining friends and relatives. Cambium Inc. is pleased to have completed the client’s wishes and to have united themselves with the unique integrated landscape patterns of the various communities where they serve, Ballard, Bellevue, Mercer Island, and others.
