About This Project

Make an Entrance We are excited to showcase our amazing "Make an Entrance" with Michaelangelo’s Sustainable Landscape & Design to completely change the way one approaches a beautiful residential property located in the heart of Alpharetta. Our client desired a visually appealing landscape that would provide curb appeal and also invite people to the property, so we developed a design that balanced native plants, stone pathways, and lighting to give the entryway a new life. The began with the selection of drought-tolerant plants that focused on native perennials and ornamental grasses that will thrive in our climate zone and also benefit our wildlife. As illustrated in the plan, we used natural stone pavers for the pathway to provide a secure and aesthetic transition from the driveway to the front door. The addition of a custom-built wooden arbor with climbing vines invited guests to proceed into the porch area and provided a centerpiece for the space. While the had hurdles such as sloping ground and a few shaded spots, our great team was able to address all areas through the use of tiered planting beds and shade-tolerant species in the appropriate spots. The use of low-voltage LED lighting offered great features of the entrance in the evening while maintaining a safe and defined area. The final result was a beautiful landscape addition that not only met our client’s needs, but also exceeded their expectations. The property has received rave reviews from their neighbors and even passing traffic, allowing for curating a property and example of modern landscape sustainability. "Make an Entrance" was a powerful example of Michaelangelo's commitment to great quality, creativity, and ecological stewardship and we are proud to showcase it as a portfolio highlight in the greater Atlanta area, including our nearby Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody communities.
