This full-scope landscaping transformed the sleeping backyard of the property into an outdoor oasis that fit beautifully with Southern California. The scope of the included a beautiful grouping of features that elevated both aesthetics and function. A carefully crafted stone pathway winds its way through the lush, native plantings, providing a welcoming walk to the backyard oasis from the front door. The team used materials that are premium, sustainable, durable, and gorgeous, including locally sourced flagstone and decomposed granite for hardscaping and plant selections. The not inconsequential challenge of the sloped lot was one of the positives faced. Perhaps the most innovative part of the LandFluent story included placing terracing garden beds which not only allowed the home’s owner to situate a selection of plants within the slope, but also inhibited soil erosion. Functionally, the terraced beds helped to prevent erosion, while aesthetically, the beds offered second interest with flowers blossoming and cascading for a quality appearance and further interaction of the space during the seasonality of blooms. The centerpiece of the backyard is a stunning water feature, not only for aesthetics, but to enhance the sound experience in naturefully realizing the sensory dimension of the outdoor experience. The sound of flowing water partnered with all of the other floral scents and sounds makes for the ultimate experience in nature for relaxation and hosting guests. Drought resistant plant selections were used around the water feature in accordance with water use for the and a back to the nature theme of the work. The final product of AP3 Residence left the s owners elated and satisfied with the transformation of their home.
