Info: Elevated Wood Porch by Ganshert Nursery & Landscapes This recent Raised Wooden Deck was finished by Ganshert Nursery & Landscapes, a Madison based family run operation that takes pride in their quality of work. A beautiful outdoor feature that turns a backyard into a soothing spot for entertaining or unwinding. The patio had an amazing deck built out of high-quality cedar wood picked for its robustness and resistance to decay. We carefully crafted the deck to fall into the existing landscape, with gentle curves and multi-level seating areas and steps to bring eye variation and depth. We want the deck to be stable and last for a long time so drew in everything from pressure-treated posts. The first challenge we faced was the sloped land the property was located on, which worried us due to how accessible and aesthetically pleasing the design could be. This was a challenge our skilled team was able to overcome with an elevation tiered structure to conform to the natural geography as well as the ease of access to various locations of the yard. We implemented custom railing and their built in benches so the client can get the most use out of their outdoor space while taking in the beautiful views of their garden. What followed was the final result, which was nothing less than breathtaking. The Raised Wooden Deck became the centrepiece of the backyard, enabling family and friends to either partake in outdoor dining or take in nature itself. The clients and guests took immediately to the warm tones of the cedar, which were enhanced by the staged lighting to create an atmosphere that would be remembered long after leaving.
