The design utilized local stone for the retaining walls, which was both beautiful and provided longevity to the design through weathering processes. A thoughtfully selected palette of native plants including feathery ferns and flowering rhododendrons adds color while supporting local wildlife. Managing the slope of the land and ensuring that adequate drainage was provided to avoid a failure of any structures due to erosion were one of the main complexities of the . Our whole team worked ardently to implement a grading approach alongside an efficient drainage system to mitigate these concerns. Without a great deal of forethought on design, we were able to develop a flourishing and vibrant garden for the owners to enjoy for years to come. The cedar material was responsibly sourced from a nearby provider, which paid homage to the aesthetic of the site and adhered to our values on building in an environmentally friendly way. Additionally, hanging lights were placed on the pergola to create a cozy, inviting atmosphere for evening gatherings.
