A Charming Yard to Experience "A Charming Yard to Experience" is a beautiful by Jacobs Grant Design Ltd, and a wonderful representation of outdoor living for our clients in Upper Arlington. The design beautifully balances utility and aesthetics, all in an effort to create a backyard that provides a delightful place to unwind and enjoy company. The started with a comprehensive landscape design, and we set out to install a welcoming patio made of durable weather-resistant pavers that complement the architecture of the home. In the landscape design, we included a range of native plants that are resilient and eye-catching so that we could provide clients a rich garden that is appealing all year. The ornamental grasses and shrubs were added to "amp-up" the looks of the garden while also attracting local pollinators, a bonus for Mother Nature. One of our challenges was dealing with the slope of the backyard lot. This challenge required careful planning and execution, in order to build tiered garden beds that deal with proper drainage while providing a good amount of useable yard area. We employed the use of natural stone to create the retaining walls, and with their rustic look, they help with soil erosion. The final product is a beautiful backyard outdoor area that includes a seating fire pit that lies well and allows multiple uses, and lighting that is well distributed to provide a warm setting. The clients loved how well the landscape worked with their existing outdoor architecture, creating a lovely yard that begs to be enjoyed. Every landscaping solution created by Jacobs Grant Design Ltd involves attention to detail, quality workmanship, and complete customer satisfaction.
