Summary: Upper Arlington Contemporary Upper Arlington Contemporary, complete by Jacobs Grant Design Ltd., is a stunning example of modern elegance and functionality in the landscape. This is located in the midst of Upper Arlington, illustrating ourselves as a company that believes in quality and design innovation for clients throughout the bustling neighborhoods in central Ohio. The first step of the transformation was to analyze the site conditions, which allowed us to understand the unique topography and ecological conditions. We combined the use of a full spectrum of hardy native plant material, drought-tolerant perennials, and ornamental grasses enhancing sustainability while contributing to the desired aesthetics. The site layout is designed geometrically, with paths constructed using bluestone sourced locally. This material is primarily due to its contemporary style, but also because of how it integrates with the surrounding natural landscape. A major consideration was to manage the drainage issues that had historically impinged on the property. Working with the landscape, we installed a state-of-the-art drainage system that helps move water efficiently throughout the property in a manner that doesn't diminish the lush landscape. Lastly, we designed an outdoor living space that is inviting with a custom fire pit and seating areas that can welcome guests or experience quiet evenings outdoors. We were sure to include soft ambient-lighting throughout the garden, providing illumination at night that extenuates the unique features of the property. Overall, the resulted in a very satisfied client who was delighted with the extent of their garden transformation. Upper Arlington Contemporary is an incredible demonstration of Jacobs Grant Design Ltd.'s commitment to quality, excellence, and aesthetic problem solving through landscape design. Every element of the design was bespoke, which will not only enhance the value of the property, but improve the daily lifestyle of the home owner; enhancing their experience while in one of the major urban centers.
