About This Project

Private Paradise LandArt Associates, LLC. is excited to share 'Private Paradise,' an incredible landscape transformation that changed the way our client uses their outdoor space in Ellicott City. This was a welcoming fusion of artistry and function, and showcased LandArt's quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The main feature of this large outdoor area is a custom bluestone patio designed to accommodate the natural progression of the landscape. Sited within a setting adorned with colorful perennial plantings that flourish over the seasons, we emphasized our commitment to enhancing our environment by incorporating a wide range of native plants which offered an eclectic plant palette with minimal maintenance. A soothing water feature with a waterfall and koi pond complete this space domesticated examination, while bringing serenity to the outdoor area, as well as enticing wildlife. During all phases of the , we addressed obstacles, including uneven site conditions and the need to resolve pre-existing site drainage issues. Our team worked through these challenges by designing multi-tiered landscapes to resolve the water flow issues, while creating stunning layers of plantings and seating areas. Altogether, the outdoor space is inviting, and while screens of greenery come into play, the design offers some privacy to the home settings, while allowing for stunning views of the open countryside. The final element of the was LED landscape lighting that enhances the architectural features of the home and plantings, allowing the owner to expand the enjoyment of their Private Paradise well into the evening hours. The final product met the client’s expectations by cultivating a tranquil and luxurious space that blended with nature cohesively. LandArt was glad to partner with the client for their Scholarship and created a that enhances their home, but contributes to a peaceful outdoor experience that they will cherish for years.
