The scope of work entailed building a site-specific custom pergola, a charming gazebo, and a stunning outdoor kitchen area that create spaces for the homeowners’ family to gather and entertain. Our commitment to only using high-quality and sustainably sourced cedar for all of the outdoor structures ensures durability while working in concert with the landscape. The pergola incorporates custom designed lattice work that lets in just the right amount of sun while feeling perfectly enclosed. The gazebo is adorned with climbing vines and seasonal flowers, creating an idyllic backdrop for all outdoor gatherings. The outdoor kitchen is well-suited for entertaining, with accommodating countertops and cabinetry finished in a natural stain that complements the lawn and retaining walls nearby. An outdoor kitchen is more than simply a grill. This hillside kitchen features a large prep center and is surrounded by abundant native planting; the kitchen provides an experience that is both functional and enjoyable. The site posed one major construction challenge an uncharacteristically steep grade. Our team overcame this challenge by expertly leveling the groundwork and then constructing the stone foundation for the structures. Each one of the outdoor structures is firmly secured in its surrounding landscape and the foundation has included stone construction to provide for longevity. The entire experience was simply the best. The client loved the integration of the outdoor structures into the existing garden that provides for much more than aesthetics; the assignment presents opportunities for the family to thoughtfully escape into the garden or bring families and friends social space. It is a commitment that sharpens the property’s aesthetic and sustains outdoor living spaces, all while demonstrating Plantswoman Design's commitment to quality and to personalized solutions in residential landscape design.
