The design evolved to include numerous features within the elements, including a custom stone patio, native plant gardens, and an inviting pathway to a water feature, all employed together to create space that was both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The patio was created from quality materials, locally sourced flagstone, and a high-quality paver that is environmentally friendly and durable, and planned and executed to look rustic, yet functional, so that it would be enjoyed for years to come. Understanding that the native plants are aesthetically pleasing and will help reduce time spent maintaining the landscape, it was also essential the plant selections help support the surrounding ecosystem by creating an inviting space for local wildlife and birds, while also helping educate the residents water conservation efforts and sustainable landscaping features. The included a significant challenge regarding the uneven grade that extended well outside the rear of the property. Our talented landscape architects in our firm provided some creative grading solutions and a terraced slope which created not only a better flow in the landscape but distinct areas to relax and entertain. The space was designed with the client in mind, to offer a landscape experience, not just a pretty outdoors to spend time in and offer thoughtfulness around how the placement and design of the stone was more beautiful than the traditional landscape space they're used to in their thinking. Overall, the culminated in a fantastic outdoor space that exceeded the hopes of the clients. The outdoor living area included a stone patio with comfortable seating and a fire pit that offers a great response for entertaining family for dinner and summer grilling. The gardens create a lush backdrop of color and texture and the water feature provides a great backdrop with all the sounds of water tranquilizing the owners, encouraging them to find their space in the evening after a long day.
