Summary: San Diego Residence Pool The 'San Diego Residence Pool' is a by Nick Martin Landscape Architect Inc. that reflects quality and innovative design in all aspects. Located in the heart of San Diego, this came to life in collaboration with the home owners, who wished to enhance their outdoor living space with a private, luxurious, and functional swimming pool area. One of the key challenges of the included steep topography and drainage elements that required some creative and engineering strategies to ensure the adjoined landscape performed well and was beautiful. To feel integrated within the surrounding landscape, we utilized natural stone coping and decking, obtained from local quarries. The pool reflects a refined, modern form, adorned with an active waterfall that complements the design with sound and visual interest. The ecological sustainability of the residential landscape is enhanced by the placement of native ecological plants and drought tolerant building materials that produce color and texture throughout the year. Low voltage LED lighting was deployed to enhance the rhythm of the pools profile and the surrounding landscape of plants and trees while providing an inviting evening environment to entertain guests. The overall outcome is a tranquil environment that promotes relaxation and recreation, synergized with the client's vision. The 'San Diego Residence Pool' exemplifies our care of craft and demonstrated attention to detail, which ultimately excited the client in realizing the .
