This began with a thoughtful analysis of the existing landscape. It encountered some challenges such as un-level site construction and poorly orchestrated design. Our studio worked diligently to create an idyllic outdoor installation that complimented the natural site elements, while addressing the challenges outlined above. We achieved this inspired by a design utilizing a palette of native plant varieties and drought tolerant materials - all with an emphasis on form and function. The centerpiece for this is a magnificent water feature that not only brings beauty and tranquility to the space, but also serves as a gathering point for friends and family. The path leading to the water feature is punctuated throughout the space with dry-stack stone, quarried locally in California. This path leads guests through lush garden beds filled with brightly colored plants throughout the seasons, accented by some hand placed boulders that established a naturalistic feel for the property. This was focused heavily on outdoor living, and as such, we created a Thai-style deck out of composite products that serve as an eco-friendly beverage bar, complete with built in seating and soft lighting for evening enjoyment of the space. In the end, we carried this detail into the irrigation and site monitoring systems we designed with a remote control feature that encourages watering vulnerabilities and plating vitality while prioritizing a commitment to water conservation. Ultimately, our client appreciated the 's outcome as it added desirable value to their overall property as testimony of Russ Cletta Design Studio, Inc.' s people focused approach to creating gorgeous landscapes individual and reflective to their clients' residences.
