Great Oaks Landscape Associates Inc. is excited to share the 'Pergolas and Arbors' , a beautiful enhancement to outdoor living spaces in the heart of the communities in Southeast Michigan. From Birmingham to Wixom, Great Oaks transformed a client's backyard into a fairy tale space that combines both beauty and utility. The consisted of the design and construction of custom pergolas and arbors made from high-grade cedar wood that will endure the test of time while adding beauty to ancillary landscape structures. The design included integrated lighting and climbing plants that together create a romantic and cozy environment for evening entertainment. Our talented professionals constructed the structures of the pergolas and arbors with assurance that these features were constructed using quality materials, while factoring in care and detail every step of the way. One initial problem we were presented with is that the terrain of the existing yard needed some creativity and techniques to deal with stabilization and layout. Without lots of leveling and a type of infrastructure (base) to rest all the stone and wood elements on, these features wouldn't have been able to be showcased amidst the natural landscape. Our professionals were able to efficiently and effectively level the landscape, provide a stable base, and allow these features to fit naturally into the landscape. The resulting features are breath-taking. The original plan for a landscape design was to make for an enchanting space quietly illuminated both naturally and with integrated lighting from the pergolas. The stunning landscape completed with lighting at night is a beautiful retreat. The client stated they were excited to showcase their creation with family and friends. Under the cooling shade of the pergolas and plants climbing the pergolas, the client gained a very inviting space to entertain family and friends and enjoy the enjoyment of nature in better style.
