The Northville Back Yard is a representation of this commitment to quality and creativity. The outdoor space was redesigned for the home to serve as a tranquil retreat, balancing utility and beauty of landscaping. The utilized natural stone pavers for a beautiful and durable patio space. We created a multi-leveled garden bed rich with native plants and colorful perennials to ensure colorful beauty year-round and contribute to the local ecosystem by attracting pollinators. We placed lights in strategic locations to create a safety and security element while featuring the home's architecture and lighting up the pathways, which created a warm and inviting space for evening use. One of the 's main challenges was the grading of the property. This included adding solutions for drainage and water runoff that was conducive to eliminating erosion. Our team came up with an innovative way to layer in a tiered retaining wall made of a local stone that creates texture and visual diversity in the landscape while tailoring solutions to control the grade of the property. Moreover, this solved some of the drainage concerns while serving as a beautiful addition to the garden. The most exciting improvement included a custom firepit area that provides a place to gather the family to create memories while connecting with each other when they want to relax at the end of the day. We used the same products as the patio to create a seamless and inviting gathering space. The homeowners were thrilled with their transformed outdoor space. Northville Back Yard is a beautiful but functional balance that allowed the homeowners to find a personal escape at home. Furthermore, Great Oaks Landscape Associates Inc. heightened the homeowner's lifestyle and experience within their home by using high-quality design and craftsmanship that will enhance their lifestyle in Northville and beyond.
