Summary: Contemporary Deck by Harmony Design Group Located within the scenic backdrop of Westfield, the 'Contemporary Deck' by Harmony Design Group embodies modern aesthetics and practical outdoor living. This stunning outdoor renovation offers a beautiful, modern, multi-tier deck made from high-quality composite materials that are durable and low maintenance - perfect for changing weather in all of the service areas, including Maplewood and Cranford. The team overcame the challenge of the sloped backyard by creating a number of steps and built-in seating areas to give the space visual interest and ease of access. The design complemented the existing landscape of the site with some simple plantings of native shrubs and perennials for added beauty and ecological sustainability. To help create a dynamic outdoor experience, we added ambient LED lighting under the decking and amongst the plantings for a warm feel at night while entertaining guests. The addition of a modern design fire pit in the middle of the deck serves as both a centerpiece and warm area for guests and family to huddle around. The final product is a pleasing, modern space that allows our clients to enjoy their outdoor living space during all seasons. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive as clients expressed their excitement over how the design enhanced their lifestyle, defined modernism, and raised the value of their home.
