About This Project

Country Getaway by Harmony Design Group Located within a quiet neighborhood, the 'Country Getaway' by Harmony Design Group has transformed a typical yard into something exceptional. Serving clients in Berkeley Heights, Cranford, Fanwood, Livingston, Madison, Maplewood, Millburn, Morristown, Mountainside, New Providence, Scotch Plains, South Orange, Summit, Westfield, and Montclair, the asked the designer to create an integrated outdoor space that offered calmness with style. The started with a comprehensive meeting to understand the client’s thoughts in envisioning a rustic yet elegant retreat. Each component of the design syntax was thoughtfully incorporated including natural stone, rich flower beds, and a lovely pond to create various dimensions to the space as the property naturally sloped down. The natural stone was quarried locally and incorporated native plants, which are more sustainable and provide a rich character to the landscape. We initially faced the challenge of the grade of the yard, which included some hills, to create a natural fluidity to the outdoor space. One of our skilled team members figured out an innovative garden design with tiered planting, which took care of the slope and provided a beautiful backdrop designed for entertaining at this family home. Of course, the materials we used were of the highest quality; we selected weather-treated decking and iron wrought metals, which all supported the rustic theme of the . The entire focal point on the patio was the fire pit, custom designed from reclaimed bricks where family gathered on cool nights under the stars. Ultimately, the evolved into a fabulous outdoor oasis that exceeded the client’s imagination; picturesque gardens, calming water, to enjoying an impressionable outdoor space with family and friends. The design of the 'Country Getaway' embodies the quality and attention to detail we prioritize at Harmony Design Group to create a magical place in nature to enjoy like no other.
