Downer Brothers Landscaping, Inc. is happy to present our newest , 'Planting Install', a wonderful transformation in enhancing the natural beauty of a residential property in North Andover, MA. We set out to fulfill our client's vision of a lush, live landscape that seamlessly integrates to existing architecture, while also being sustainable and low maintenance. The began with a thorough site evaluation where we determined the best possible placement of each plant, as well as consideration of sun exposure and soil quality. We selected a variety of native plants, with colorful perennials, hardy shrubs, and ornamental grasses, which not only pick up and add color, but also include wildlife contribution to their sustainability, and development of a living ecosystem. One of the biggest challenges on this was also addressing a lot of high and low lying areas. Our staff was able to level the area, and used natural stone edging to create raised planting beds. This provided drainage but also gave a very aesthetically pleasing finishing touch. Our crew skillfully introduced quality amendments to the soil during planting preparation. We also included an efficient irrigation system, for optimal water usage and low maintenance. The finished was a breath-taking landscape for our client, who was astonished by the colors of the flowers, disparity in textural foliage, and overall layout of the planting. Our clients playful response was "Wow". We have attached their thank you card as part of our documentation in this portfolio.
