Wildwood Fireplace Description by Petra Masonry Located in Wildwood, the Wildwood Fireplace is a beautiful outdoor space that showcases Petra Masonry's commitment to quality and innovative landscaping. We work hard to build beautiful outdoor spaces that incorporate nature with functional beauty, providing a perfect outdoor location for our clients to enjoy, relax and entertain. The included a stunning stone fireplace out of locally sourced limestone to fit in with the surroundings. Our artisans handpicked the stones to achieve a rustic, yet refined appearance, railing against the fireplace's presence within the natural terrain. Besides the fireplace, there is an attractive outdoor seating area that consists of sturdy, weather-friendly furniture and a surrounding patio made of natural flag stone that looks like it was originally part of the outdoor space. They wanted to have space that functioned and looked good together which provides a comfortable decorative space to enjoy the outdoors year-round. We installed lighting so the fireplace would illuminate and accent the dense foliage surrounding their outdoor space. One challenge we faced was the leveling of the work area, which included preparation and grading for proper drainage. Our preference is to keep the landscape as original as possible, we were levelling the area of the fireplace while maintaining any existing shrubbery, to gain simple visual appeal while addressing the possibility of active drainage. The end result of the Wildwood fireplace leaves our clients overjoyed with pride in their outdoor space, an area they can use for family and friends to gather. Because of the craftspersonship of our tradesmen, by using high-quality materials, and a general vision for the space we made their backyard a beautiful outdoor living space.
