Custom Residence #07, Jupiter FL Parker-Yannette Design Group, Inc. is excited to share its recent involving landscaping for Custom Residence 07, located in Jupiter, Florida. This unique outdoor furthers the idea of creating outdoor spaces that are both practical and beautiful, forming a peaceful retreat for our client. The process began with a thorough site evaluation that helped refine the design to the unique topography and microclimate of the site. The team selected an appealing colorful and diverse mix of native plants, including bougainvillea, palms and jasmine, that create a landscape that is beautiful and contributes to the local biodiversity. The site came with some issues related to drainage. The firm developed a grading plan together with a rain garden to detain stormwater runoff while creating a sustainable component to the landscaping. Also, the team created a pathway using permeated pavers to allow water to be absorbed and minimize erosion. There are also a series of natural stone boulders used for both focal points and provide a capable structure for the terraced gardens. All materials used were selected to coordinate with the design and architecture of the home. The overall resulted in a landscaping design that creates a nice and relaxing environment. The outdoor living space includes a custom made pergola with climbing vines for gathering outdoors or spend a quiet night under the stars.
