Pool & Outdoor Living by Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction The Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction team recently revamped an ordinary backyard in Chesterfield into a resort-style living area. This full renovation consisted of a beautiful inground pool with detailed hardscaping, featuring stone slab pavers and custom outdoor, granite kitchen which is durable and weather resistant. Not to mention, there were some interesting obstacles in the redesign as all clients have. The clients had a sloped yard that posed a challenge. Our design team implemented a drainage system and terraced everywhere to ensure that the landscape could not only encompass the needs and desires of our client but that the practical responsibilities of the site didn't override the esthetics and appearance. To preserve all the natural beauty we could and promote sustainability and low maintenance, we chose plantings that were native to the region or climate. The end result turned out to be a gorgeous balanced mixture of contemporary design and natural detail, complete with ambient lighting and manicured vegetation and the soothing influence of a water scene. Clients were pleased with their outdoor sanctuary as it was a welcomed relief for family get together's or an enjoyable quiet evening admire stargazing at the sky.
