Arcadia Mid Century Modern Sacred Space Garden Design Inc. is delighted to present the ‘Arcadia Mid Century Modern’ landscaping , a remarkable transformation that connects to the architectural beauty of mid-century modern homes. Located in lovely Altadena, this exemplifies our focus on quality and design, with clients across the Greater Los Angeles area from Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, and much more. The process began with a full site analysis to understand the specific challenges brought forward by the sloped site and existing plant types present. Our design team selected drought-tolerant and native plant types, like California poppies and agaves, to achieve a comfortable yet sustainable landscape in unison with the modern architecture. High-grade materials, like decomposed granite pathways and custom concrete planters, were used to highlight the clean lines and geometric shapes of mid-century architecture. The most significant challenge here was establishing a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors. We accomplished this through an innovative multi-level deck connecting the home’s interior to the outdoor living area with a cozy fire pit surrounded with low maintenance shrubs. This solution worked to not only maximize the usable footprint but also created the ideal space for entertainment. What an incredible achievement it has been for both the clients and their guests. The ‘Arcadia Mid Century Modern’ is a matchless fusion of modern design and natural beauty, and demonstrates our commitment in creating sacred spaces that define our client’s vision.
