#4 "In the Shade" Ogden's Design and Plantings, Inc. Set against scenic Long Island, Ogden's Design and Plantings, Inc.'s "In the Shade" creates an outdoor oasis that gracefully integrates with the surrounding ecosystem. This reflects our focus on high-quality craftsmanship, modern design, + sustainability for clients throughout Nassau County, and Suffolk County. In this case the challenge was to create a bright oasis in a shady back garden without removing any of the existing large trees. Carefully manipulating their trees' extensive root systems, our design would help beautify the space while working in concert to maintain the health of our environment. Partnering with an shade-loving palette we included ferns, hostas, and ornamental grasses adding lushness to the bottom level of the garden inviting you to discover more. We added natural stone pathways leading to intimate seating areas with flowering shrubs that were selected for their many-colored, seasonal blooms, to help bring this space to life. Using local materials only strengthens our commitment to the local economy and sustainability. The end product is a beautiful, functional landscape. The client loved the result and now had an even more usable yard that provided a wonderful place to gather with family as well as an area to sit and reflect. Through creative problem solving and meticulous craftsmanship, Ogden's Design and Plantings, Inc. presented a shaded oasis that integrates harmoniously into its surroundings, showcasing our commitment to great landscaping and pleased customers.
