Tropical Paradise | Fernando Wong Outdoor Living Design The 'Tropical Paradise' by Fernando Wong Outdoor Living Design, located in the heart of suburbia, turned a traditional backyard into a dreamy retreat reminiscent of a tropical haven. Fernando Wong, who specializes in landscape design, helped create this beautiful outdoor space for clients here and across the United States and internationally. The landscape includes a diverse range of tropical plants hibiscus, palms, jasmine chosen for beauty and toughness. Natural stone walkways were mimicked to create a sense of exploration as guests explored the tropical paths. It has been chosen to be materials at a higher level, for example, teak furniture is only handcrafted, quality, durability of textiles well, cool, to last to complement the outdoor space. Maintaining the integrity of the plantings in the face of longstanding drainage problems was one of the primary challenges of the . The team cleverly responded to this by installing an advanced drainage system which allows for adequate water management without impinging upon the integrity of the design. Tropical Paradise features stunning water featurethe property is a custom-designed koi pond that immerses the dwelling. Soft light refracted off hundreds of tiny ripples on the pond invites you to sit absorbed by the curated array of aquatic plants. The end result was a show stopper where the client felt exactly what they were after; an elegant home with nature as its backdrop, and a feeling quite beyond expectations.
