Title: Modern Cottage Garden Innis Arden We are excited to share our most recent , the 'Modern Cottage Garden' located in Innis Arden by Orion Rockscapes, a beautiful juxtaposition of modern lines and traditional character. This was particularly exciting for us to take on as we confidently tackled numerous challenges to design and install a beautiful outdoor sanctuary serving Seattle including the neighborhoods of Ballard, Bellevue, Bothell, and beyond. It includes a balance of native plants and perennial beds chosen for their color and interest during the remainder of the growing season. Rustic stone pathways were adapted on site using local basalt, adding beauty to the garden and standing up to the elements that are part of the Pacific Northwest. Using reclaimed wood, these raised garden beds will be sustainable while giving you a functional place to grow herbs and vegetables. With the slope of the site being one of the concerns we had to work with, we created deconstructed terraced planting zones that add movement and give rise to easier gardening solutions. We created a custom irrigation system that is in place to help the garden flourish while avoiding needless water waste, a relatively simple way for us to embrace our ethos of land stewardship. What you get is a dreamy combination of greenery and sophistication, with a nice lounge area for soaking in the surroundings. To now have an oasis where a client can entertain friends or unwind after a busy day in the comfort of their own back Garden, is great. Every landscaping we carry out is a reflection of our emphasis on attention to detail and quality workmanship which sets us apart at Orion Rockscapes.
