About This Project

The Tiny Bathroom project in South Minneapolis is a remarkable transformation of a compact 5 x 6.5-foot space, designed to maximize both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The homeowners sought a revitalized bathroom that not only enhanced the illusion of spaciousness but also integrated smart storage solutions without compromising the existing layout, bordered by bedrooms on either side. To achieve this vision, we began with the shower tile, introducing a cleverly designed recess that holds essential shower items, providing easy access while maintaining a clean look. This functional element inspired a cohesive cubby motif that we elegantly repeated throughout the shower stall and the rest of the room, creating a harmonious flow. To break the monotony often associated with small bathrooms, we employed bold color blocks that add vibrancy and visual interest without the heaviness of traditional borders or accent stripes. The choice of materials was essential in conveying a contemporary yet inviting atmosphere. The frosted French windows not only contribute to the playful aesthetic but are also outfitted with a neoprene gasket to ensure they remain watertight, enhancing their durability and functionality. Every detail was meticulously considered, from the recess for the toilet paper to the installation of a pedestal sink that maximizes floor space, ensuring the room feels open and airy. To accommodate the entire family, we incorporated an extra-long medicine cabinet mirror that reflects light and creates an illusion of depth, further enhancing the room's spaciousness. The craftsmanship throughout this project reflects our commitment to quality and design, resulting in a Tiny Bathroom that is both stylish and practical. The outcome is a contemporary sanctuary that redefines small space living, showcasing how thoughtful design can transform even the coziest of bathrooms into a functional and elegant retreat.
