Mt. Vernon by Ventures Design Located in the heart of the illustration-worthy value of the Mt. Vernon area, Ventures Design delivered a home landscaping that enhanced the beauty and utility of this gorgeous property. We patiently paired nature's beauty and design standards with traditional quality materials including natural stone, reclaimed wood, and drought resistant plants to create a sustainable and beautiful landscape that reduces water use. Fresh air is taken in with the large outdoor living area, complete with a custom stone patio suitable for entertaining family and friends, or simply enjoying the quietness of night at home under the stars. The stone patio is framed with perennial gardens that inspire their own wonderment with color through seasons. The unique challenge of a sloped yard was embraced by our design team in order to add to the property’s natural topography. We created terraced garden beds which played very well to the natural drainage of the slope and serve as a design feature. The beds are filled with native species plants to require very low maintenance and attract and support local wildlife such as butterflies and songbirds. The tranquil water feature, constructed with a cascading waterfall towards a koi pond, adds a tranquil environment, peaceful sounds, and calming visual appeal for the yard. Lighting and vegetation create a magical experience in the evenings. Our emphasis on quality craftsmanship and consumer service paid off in the process of the , where quality of construction met our customer satisfaction expectations. While they were excited upon completion of the , we honestly think the value of integration with the site enhanced the Mt. Vernon landscape in this .
