Easley Before and After

Narrative: Easley Before and After by Outerior Design Outerior Design is pleased to unveil the documentation of our most recent transformation "Easley Before and After" serving the communities of Five Forks, Fountain Inn, Greenville, Mauldin and Simpsonville. This showcases our dedication to quality and craftsmanship to turn a dull outdoor space into a beautiful landscape that embodies our clients' vision. The process began with an assessment of the existing yard. The yard had uneven, hard, and outdated hardscape, and lacked functional outdoor spaces. After working with the clients, we began to develop their desire for a peaceful garden retreat that doubled as an entertainment space for hosting family gatherings. We worked through a few issues, specifically poor drainage and a lack of sunlight to certain areas of the yard. We resolved the drainage issue by implementing a simple drainage system to avoid water pooling, and then utilized plants that are tolerant in shaded areas. The final design included beautiful native plants that were sustainable and had very little maintenance. One of the show's pieces of the was a custom stone patio made with locally sourced high-grade bluestone that gave the clients' a functional and elegant outdoor space to entertain their friends and family. We then planted a variety of hardy perennials, ornamental grasses, and evergreen shrubs surrounding the patio area to provide year-round interest and privacy. The highlight of the overall scope of work is the tranquil water feature that provides enhanced aesthetics and the sound of characteristically pleasing flowing water. The water feature's boulders and naturalizing are selected to relate to the overall landscape seamlessly. We delivered the entire scope of work to the clients' delight! They now have an improved and cohesive outdoor space that meets their lifestyle needs while improving the overall value of their home.
