'Green' by Yavapai Landscaping In the stunning Prescott Valley, Yavapai Landscaping has recently completed the 'Green' , a landscape that fulfills the dual goals of marrying nature and sustainable use of materials. This extends over a half-acre and combines natural plant material with both xeriscaping and functional outdoor spaces for inhabiting and entertaining. The initial problems presented by the steeply sloping topography and rocky soil of the area were resolved through careful thought and design experience combined with the practical use of high-quality materials locally sourced for the . These included native boulders and flagstone pathway paving used in conjunction to create a terraced garden which made visual interest and plant drainage possible. The landscape is rich in drought-resistant colored plants, including lavender, agave, and desert marigold, to support the sustainability concept of the . An irrigation system was custom-designed to support the water use for healthy plant growth while fostering a lush green appearance. The final product is a memorable and beautiful place to reflect, relax, and be joyful.
