About This Project

Schow Residence - Yavapai Landscaping Located in the beautiful Prescott Valley area, the Schow Residence showcases Yavapai Landscaping's commitment to remarkable quality and innovative landscape design. This recreation of a large outdoor space into a beautiful retreat fits perfectly with the Arizona landscape. This started with an in-depth consultation with the client to discuss their ideas and preferences. Our team crafted a thoughtful design that combined native plants, drought-tolerant shrubs, and colorful, flowering perennials in a way that would not only attractively fill the space, but also focus on sustainability when possible. We included strong materials in our design, including locally sourced stone for pathways and seating, that seamlessly fit into the landscape and could withstand the elements. One of the most significant challenges we faced was the slope of the land. We addressed the slope by constructing terraced garden beds in a tiered style. Using terraced planting built up the grade and visual interest while making it easier for the soil to drain and more accessible to the garden beds for the homeowners. Our skilled crew understood the importance of properly maintaining the grade on each terrace so that all the planting would flow artistically throughout the landscape. The patio area is the focal point of the Schow Residence, constructed using natural flagstone and surrounded with boulders to create structure and a restful feel. The addition of a custom fire pit surrounded with seating added a gathering spot for family and friends, and properly placed lighting took the atmosphere to another level when the sun set. When the was complete, the clients were ecstatic their new transformed outdoor space. They noted how functionally beautiful the outdoor experience was. The owners have now created outdoor living that mirrors their lifestyle and appreciation for the outdoors, clearly showing Yavapai Landscaping's commitment to superior craftsmanship and satisfaction in every we serve in Prescott Valley, Dewey, Sedona, and beyond.
