Asbury Street Oasis Brookwood Landscape and Stonework Inc. is delighted to share the evolution of the Asbury Street Oasis, a truly exceptional landscape that we had the pleasure to work on in the heart of a wonderful community, serving areas such as Danvers, Marblehead, and North Andover. We wanted a design that embraced outdoor living at its very best - as a peaceful retreat, while also being functional - which was the focal point for the . The featured a custom patio incorporating premium bluestone pavers, with classic stone retaining walls composed of natural stone that gave the space structure and character. To add to the feeling of tranquility, we designed a path that wound through the space with naturally occuring native plantings, which would give aesthetic interest throughout every season and draw on ecology and sustainability. Our team had to think critically challenges presented by a sloped condition, which we particulary navigated using tiered garden beds that added dimension but also dealt with the appropriate drainage. A spectacular water feature is the centerpiece of the oasis, which was designed to beautifully replicate the sounds and feelings of nature to create a calm and reflective space. Ornamental grasses and colourful perennials were selected for their hardiness and attraction to woldife, surrounding the water feature. We are happy to say that the return was spectacular and our clients could not have been happier to create a distinguishable landscape into their home for family gatherings and enjoyable evenings alike. Overall the process and design to build journey with the client felt very collaborative, and the craftsmanship using masonry has made the Asbury Street Oasis another Brookwood Landscape and Stonework landscape moment defining true outdoor living.
