About This Project

Hacienda Heights Residence Avenue 39 Landscape Design is excited to share the recently completed Hacienda Heights Residence, November remodel. This was a cohesive work in the Hacienda Heights community blending both the clients ideas with ours as designers. This was mostly done in hope of creating the warmest outdoor heaven/retreat that is in ideal harmony with the architecture of the home and the beautiful warmest setting of the family. The design combines hardscaping with softscaping, through elements like a stone patio (designed by the homeowner), winding pathways, and expertly placed terracing made using locally sourced natural stone. The material selection provides for durability and also adds a compliment to the warm rustic theme of the house. The steep angle of the yard was certainly one of the largest challenges we experienced, so we did a lot of creative grading to allow for functional outdoor spaces. Tiered garden beds were designed by our team to create an interesting aesthetic vision while managing drainage and erosion. The green choices combine native vegetation that is both drought-tolerant and low-maintenance providing an excellent habitat for local biodiversity. These lights are strategically placed to accent certain areas and really provide ambient, warm light as the sun goes down to provide an incredibly inviting place to sit at night. In addition to a peaceful water feature was added bringing soothing sounds and a focal point for the eye. It results in a stunning landscape far beyond what the client had hoped for. The now peaceful hideaway for family celebrations and a charming venue for entertaining guests was known as the Hacienda Heights Residence. We are excited to be part of this where Avenue 39 Landscape Design was instrumental in creating a stylish but functional outdoor area. With every detail of this landscape completed to our high standards of design and craftsmanship, the client was pleased with their new outdoor oasis.
