Hollister - West Hartford Donnellan & Sons Landscaping is pleased to introduce the Hollister , an incredible landscaping in West Hartford, Connecticut. Working with local communities of West Hartford, Farmington, and Avon, our team's commitment was to transform the property into a beautiful outdoor oasis that complements the architecture of the home. This particular involved a complete redesign of the front and backyard, carefully integrating native plants, interesting hardscapes, and sustainable materials. We sourced stone locally for the patio and path materials to provide both a rich organic feel and durability while integrating the features into the surrounding landscape. Native shrubs and perennials were placed throughout the design to serve both aesthetic and wildlife benefit, adding to the area biodiversity in an attractive way. As is typical with many s, one of the struggles connected to the redesign was providing options for an area with a sloped grade which led to poor drainage conditions. Our proficient team installed a designated grading system to create a slight slope away from the home while providing a scenic base for the new landscaping and features. Finally, the end product creates a beautiful retreat with an inviting, spacious area for outdoor entertaining, including several options with an appealing fire pit for family functions. The lush plantings offer four seasons of color and texture contrasts, and ornamental grasses add movement and interest to it all. We are happy to report that the clients were enthusiastic and impressed with our work, and the attention to detail.
