About This Project

Arrow Point by Plantswoman Design Located on a scenic waterfront site, our Arrow Point landscaping showcases the artistry, skill, and professionalism of Plantswoman Design. We service Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Poulsbo, Rollingbay, Seattle, Silverdale, Southworth, and Kingston. This unique opportunity involved creating an outdoor retreat in a previously wild area. One of the components was an assortment of native plantings to enhance the site’s natural beauty as well as boost biodiversity. High quality, natural materials including locally-sourced stone for paths and seating areas were selected to ensure longevity and to blend seamlessly in the landscape. We designed the with variance of textures and colors of ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and evergreen shrubs to create visual interest through all four seasons. One of the major challenges we faced was the sloped property that required us to build terraced garden beds to mitigate both erosion and water runoff. Our team designed these terraces with function and beauty by using all natural stone to create retaining walls that were appealing to the eye. We also implemented a usable irrigation system to safely and efficiently water the plantings to conserve water. The outcome is a beautiful landscape that draws the eye, and creates a peaceful oasis for the homeowners. They were thrilled with the outcome, expressing their astonishment at how a natural transition from inside to outside could be achieved.
