About This Project

SHM Landscape SHM Landscape takes great pride in our ability to design and construct outdoor spaces that meet the needs of our clients. Our recent located in the active community of Sandy Springs, is an example of our quality and craftsmanship. This was a complete rerouting of a backyard of a residence incorporating both hardscaping and softscaping. We used a natural stone paver to create an inviting patio area with a fire pit for enjoyment year- round with friends and family. The patio sits amidst lush garden beds with a variety of native plants that provide seasonal color and help sustain biodiversity in the local area. One of the challenges we faced was working with the properties slope. We designed tiered garden beds, designed with only the finest topsoil and measures for slope stability and erosion control. This provided visual interest and dimension to the landscape while also helping to address the slope. In addition to the hardscape, an efficient irrigation system was installed to minimize overwatering and wastage, allowing the all of the plants to thrive while being environmental. The materials we used including durable stone and mulch, ensure longevity and low maintenance for the clients. The end result is a gorgeous outdoor space that is aesthetically pleasing while serving its purpose. The owners were elated with their new outdoor space; they confessed that it had been hard to believe that it was theirs due to how well it matched their lifestyle and enjoyment of the outdoors. At SHM Landscape, we believe that every has a story, and we were delighted to be able to turn the original backyard of this residence into a beautiful story.
