The is a major transformation of outdoor space in East Grand Rapids. This large landscaping paired expert design with high-quality materials to produce an outdoor oasis that was both welcoming and functional. The has involved elaborate hardscaping, including a custom paver patio using durable, weather-resistant bricks for a smooth transition from the kitchen to the outdoor space. We selected a blend of earthy colors that compliment the surrounding and natural beauty of the property. One of the most challenging factors was the grading and slope of the yard. Innovative grading had to be done to ensure proper drainage and prevent puddles. Once graded, our experienced landscapers expertly leveled and included a french drain to prevent standing water, which will provide better longevity of any hardscaping or assist the surrounding plants lording the water away from their roots. The remaining parts of this landscaping included garden beds with beautiful and colorful native planting to provide texture and movement, while still being a low-maintenance, seasonal identify. The use of perennials and ornamental grasses we selected create beautiful pops of color and height and attracts plenty of local pollinators! In the end, the Smith family is pleased with the end result of the . They now have an ideal space to entertain guests, relax and hang out with family, or have a nice barbeque over the summer.
