Atrium Garden Timothy Lee Landscape Design is excited to present 'Atrium Garden,' a captivating renovation that created outdoor living space for our happy clients in Newton. This was a thoughtful design process with the goal of blending nature with architecture in an underused location. The Atrium Garden contains a dramatic assortment of native plants chosen for their seasonal interest and durability in the climate. We combined a variety of flowering perennials as well as ornamental grasses and ferns, creating a garden with strong visual appeal, all year long. We utilized locally sourced stone for paths and seating, enhancing the beauty of the garden with materials that could last against the weather. One of the major challenges we faced was the existing drainage issues that, if not resolved, would compromise the garden. Our team of professionals create a subsurface drainage system to manage water flow, maximizing plant health while minimizing long-term maintenance. We also created a water feature that provides a focal point and puts the mind at ease with sounds of water flowing in the garden. The final product is stunning atrium that fits seamlessly with the architecture of the home and welcomes a daily experience for the family and entertaining space for guests.
