Bluff Estate by Hay Hill Services Bluff Estate is located in the lovely West Columbia area and is a prime example of Hay Hill Services artistry and workmanship. This landscaping consisted of transforming a large estate into a comfortable retreat for both its beauty and usefulness. The design was carefully created and included a conceptual plan using native plants paired with modern hardscapes. Natural stone paths, paver patios, and carefully constructed retaining walls were used to provide visual appeal while also adding structure. One of the largest challenges we faced was elevation changes within the landscape. Our experienced landscapers dealt with the ups and downs of the land situated at Bluff Estate while creating a tiered garden that flowed nicely into one another. We appreciated the visual interest tiered gardens provided while improving drainage as well, which allow them to thrive long-term. A focal point for Bluff Estate was a custom-built water feature, which allowed us to create an aesthetically pleasing tranquil space outside. We wanted the running water to provide pleasant noise while relaxing at outdoor gatherings with friends and family. We surrounded the water feature with all types of perennials and ornamental grasses to provide beautiful plant material year-round as each season would have its own look. The finished result was stunning and even caught the client off-guard. Bluff Estate now includes beautiful gardens, concrete patios to sit or lay on, and an impressive water feature.
