About This Project

Everyone Welcome Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living is excited to share a transitional landscaping called "Everyone Welcome" for a family located in Centennial that transformed their outdoor living space into an inviting landscape that encourages community in a functional space for gathering with family and friends or having some quiet time alone. To achieve this , we used a beautiful combo of native plants, perennials, and low-maintenance shrubs guaranteed to thrive, along with an exquisite stone patio made of flagstone harvested locally, which provides a durable surface to gather around. Nature paths were designed to be wide and winding to comfortably move through the space while connecting the custom patio to a special firepit area for gathering at night under the stars. An obstacle we faced during this related to the property's steep slope. The Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living team executed the plan for a tiered garden to address the slope while using natural boulders and retaining walls to create the desired flow and drainage characteristics. The landscape was made gorgeous and functional through these decisions. Another signature item was the custom-built pergola that will have climbing vines for shade and character. The was complete with lighting throughout the landscape that creates a welcoming feeling regardless of the hour, making this space usable all day. The overall outcome was an overwhelmingly excited client family who now have a welcoming outdoor space that combines beauty, function, and sustainability.
