Crabapple Orchard & Meadow We specialize in creating little natural retreats for your outdoor areas at Back to Nature Home & Garden. The Crabapple Orchard and Meadow, which is one of our favorite s, shows our dedication to both quality and artistry. Set amongst the beautiful hills and valleys of Morris County, this has included the planting of over 50 vigorous crabapple trees, chosen for their spectacular spring flowers and colorful fall foliage, providing a stunning seasonal display. The started with an extensive site survey to understand the soil conditions and sunlight patterns to ensure the longevity and health of our plant selections. Here, we replaced lawn with a mix of native grass and wildflowers that we hope will be lush enough to support local pollinators and correct local balance. We contended with difficult site conditions, including bumpy terrains and aggressive invasive plants, which we tackled with creative grading options and chemical-free weed managements. Carefully choosing fine local materials, we built meandering paths of natural stone, next paths to the orchard and meadows. The outcome is functional yet aesthetically pleasing affording the clients either a peaceful retreat to unwind in or a lively setting for family to assemble. They added rustic wooden benches and lighting to accentuate the trees at sundown. The clients were ecstatic with the finished product and delighted that the added not just value to their property, but added an even greater relationship with nature.
