Soft Modern by Happy Gardens Happy Gardens is thrilled with the recent completion of the 'Soft Modern' landscape in Fort Worth, TX and Westover Hills. This beautiful landscape demonstrates modern sophistication by connecting soft lines and natural materials in a welcoming outdoor space. The plant selections in the design include a mixture of lush, native planting that are thriving in the Texas climate with both sustainability and low maintenance in mind. A beautiful variety of textures were included with ornamental grasses for movement, flowering perennial plants for color, and thoughtfully selected shrubs for winter interest and screening year-round. The walkway is made of permeable pavers that allow for efficient drainage while guiding people through the landscape. Although this design goal is for functionality, it addresses the occasional flooding issue in the area and stays in stride with the modern aesthetic. A challenge to the design was accommodating the modern style with the existing, mature tree cover that retains a native, West Texas feel. Our design team was able to trim and save the natural trees as assets, creating a united design between the existing and new. Our design includes soft seating areas with natural stone benches placed around fire pits, which adds an inviting and relaxed moment to connect and gather outdoors. The final result is a stunning outdoor space that brings peace and sophistication. The client have stated they are more than satisfied with space because it enhances curb appeal and provides a beautiful space of calm and retreat for their family and friends.
