Pasadena “Hamptons” Residence by Logoluso Design Studio Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Pasadena, the “Hamptons” Residence is one of Logoluso Design Studio's most remarkable s. The design exemplifies the perfect balance of coastal aesthetic defining Hamptons living and sophistication commonly found in California outdoor spaces. The landscape design demonstrates a cohesive design with an abundance of greenery; native plantings, ornamental grasses, and colorful blooms provide a robust planting palette with year-round blooms. The beauty of the landscape surrounds the blue-stone patio that effortlessly connects the indoor living area to the outdoor space. The patio serves as a practical gathering space for entertaining, as well as a private cocoon for nightly star gazing under the California sky. Completing the resort like feel, custom hardwood decking surrounds the infinity pool framing the landscape view. A key challenge of the was a steep slope that would yield very little advance planning for level areas in the patio or pool areas. Logoluso Design Studio overcame this challenge with grading and stone retaining walls sourced from local river beds. The result is a space that is practically designed to not only look beautiful, but to drain well, allowing the landscape to survive periods of heavy rain. The resulting landscape design balances beauty with sustainability. Exterior lighting was planned to accent their new design without overwhelming the client, which allows the space to not only look great during the day, but to also function and look safe during the night time. The client was exceedingly satisfied with their new space, including the home's ability to increase in value due to the landscaping design, their new tranquil California residence.
