From the Pool Landscape | St. Louis, MO Completed by Frisella Landscape Group Frisella Landscape Group Pool Landscape St. Louis As seen in: 2022 NALP Awards: Excellence in Landscape Contracting - Landscape Design (Residential), 2022 Awards of Excellence Nestled in the heart of St. Louis, at the 'Pool Landscape' property, Frisella Landscape Group has perfectly combined function and beauty to transform a typical backyard into a relaxing retreat. We took on the responsibility to improve the existing space around the clients pool to give a more usable space for leisure & entertaining. The design included sustainable native plantings for low maintenance. Choosing natural stone pavers creates just the right transition from the pool deck into the surrounding landscape, connecting the two in a fluid, seamless manner. As part of our design we also included familiar, durable, weather-resistant outdoor furniture that would allow maximum comfort and pleasure under the sun. We had a major construction problem because of the slope of soil surrounding the pool. To help mitigate the impact a bit, we were able to build the site with some tiered retaining walls made out of some locally procured boulders that not only add some structural integrity to the site but also add to the aesthetic appeal. This added to the aesthetics of the landscape also enabled proper drainage by avoiding water pooling around the pool area. Our horticultural team combined a diverse selection of Horticultural susceptible plants for greens such as ornamental grasses and flowering/Horticultural perennials blooming during eventually period of the seasons. Choosing this wisely brings in colour as well as pollinators that make any property a thriving eco-space. The client was over the moon on the transformation once done. The renovated landscape enhanced the beauty of their backyard and provided a usable space where the family could get together for summer barbeques and family reunions.
